I have a trench coat with the label “Made expressly for Nordstrom in British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Anyone know anything about this? It’s a beautiful trench coat.

hello i found a british crown colony of hong kong small purse. it is black with sequins on it. it is in very good shape. i believe it was made in the late 20s. i would like to get more info on it but am not having any luck googling.

my mom just showed me a set of silk pajamas with this label that my dad gave her back in the 50′s. She said they’re over 50 years old! she’s been lugging them around all these years!

Just found your site. I too have a Made in Hong Kong, British Crown Colony sequined jacket, black and white. Wondering if there is a market for these? I sure appreciate any information anyone has. This jacket actually belonged to my husband’s aunt, I was guessing she purchased it in perhaps 60′s, but maybe from the info above it was earlier. Thank you.

There are a lot of vintage Barbie “clone” clothing that is labeled “Made in the British Crown Colonies of Hong Kong”. Alot of unknown designers went there for work after WW11 and to gain experience. I have a beautiful vintage Barbie sized wedding dress that is labeled ” Made in the British Crown Colonies of Hong Kong, designed by Oleg Cassini. He was discovered shortly after by Jackie Kennedy and he designed many of her outfits.

Miller, it’s very interesting to have so many readers react to the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong blogpost. Seems like the clothes last a long time as many seem to find them in thrift stores. I unfortunately don’t know the retail value. Let me know if you have any leads!

I have a beautiful gold silk swing style coat with the label British Crown Colony of Hong kong that i picked up in a thrift store . It is in really great condition . Just wondering what the retail value might be .Do you have any idea ?
